About us
What Kawkus is, and why we built it.
Running an academic or industry conference usually means stitching together a submission form, a spreadsheet for reviewer assignments, an email thread for the program committee, a separate tool for payments, and yet another one for the schedule. Kawkus exists to replace that patchwork with one place that handles the whole lifecycle of a conference — from opening a call for papers to publishing the final program.
The platform covers submissions and peer review (bidding, assignments, scored reviews, rebuttals, and final decisions), program committee and track management, scheduling and a public agenda attendees can browse and bookmark, entry-fee and support payments through Stripe Connect, and CFP promotion to researchers whose declared interests match a conference's topics.
It's built for organizers who want to spend their time on the program and the people attending it — not on reconciling five different tools that don't talk to each other.
Have a question about how something works, or an idea for what's missing? We'd like to hear it.
