Terms of service
Last updated August 6, 2026
These terms govern your use of Kawkus. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to them. If you're using Kawkus on behalf of an organization, you're agreeing on its behalf too.
Accounts
You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your password secure. You're responsible for activity that happens under your account.
Using the platform
Kawkus lets organizers create and run conferences — accepting submissions, coordinating peer review, publishing a program, and collecting entry fees or support payments. Content you submit (manuscripts, reviews, comments, conference details) remains yours; by submitting it you grant the relevant conference organizers the access they need to run the review and program process for that conference.
Don't use the platform to submit content you don't have the right to share, to harass other users, or to attempt to access accounts or data that aren't yours.
Payments
Entry fees and support payments are processed through Stripe Connect and paid directly to the organizer's own Stripe account — Kawkus never holds these funds. Kawkus applies a platform fee on top of Stripe's own processing fee, disclosed at checkout. Refunds, if any, are handled by the organizer according to their own conference's policy.
Organizer responsibilities
If you organize a conference on the platform, you're responsible for the decisions you make about submissions, the accuracy of the information you publish (deadlines, fees, program), and complying with applicable laws for collecting payments and personal data from your participants.
Availability
We aim to keep Kawkus available and reliable but don't guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify or discontinue features; where practical, we'll give notice of significant changes.
Termination
You can stop using Kawkus and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Disclaimer
Kawkus is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from your use of the platform.
Changes to these terms
If we make material changes to these terms, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
